Daniel Buss, M.D.

Daniel Buss, M.D.,  is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in disorders of the shoulder and elbow. He earned his medical degree at the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1983 and completed his residency at the Hospital for Special Surgery at Cornell University Medical Center in New York City, New York, and a sports medicine and shoulder fellowship.

Dr. Buss sees patients at Sports and Orthopaedic Specialists, which he founded in 1999. Since 1990, Dr. Buss has served as Team Physician for the Minnesota Twins and as medical consultant to the University of Minnesota varsity athletics program, Macalester College and Northshore Gymnastics. He served as medical director for the 1991 U.S. National Figure Skating Championship and the 1998 World Figure Skating Championship.

He is the author of numerous papers and book chapters and was recently named to Mpls/St. Paul magazine's 2007 Top Docs. The annual survey randomly samples 2,500 licensed and practicing Minnesota physicians about who they consider to be the best in the business.
