Christopher Larson, M.D.

Board-certified orthopaedic surgeon Christopher Larson sees patients at Minnesota Sports Medicine in Eden Prairie and Minneapolis, and at the TRIA Orthopaedic Center in Bloomington. He serves as Director of Education for Minnesota Sports Medicine and the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship program.

He is a team physician for the Minnesota Vikings (NFL), Augsburg College, Edina High School, and the Minnesota State High School League. He has provided medical coverage for many sports events including USA Cup Soccer tournament, and the U.S.-17 and U.S. women’s national soccer team. His special orthopaedic interests include hip arthroscopy and knee conditions (knee sports medicine and joint replacement) and lectures nationally and internationally on advanced hip arthroscopy and anterior cruciate ligament techniques and outcomes.

He is an Associate Master Instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America hip arthroscopy course and instructs other orthopaedic surgeons with respect to hip and knee arthroscopic surgical procedures. He is actively involved in research and has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters.

Dr. Larson was recently named to Mpls/St. Paul magazine’s 2007 Top Docs. The annual survey randomly samples 2,500 licensed and practicing Minnesota physicians about who they consider to be the best in the industry.

He earned his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of North Carolina and a sports medicine orthopaedic fellowship at Minnesota Sports Medicine (MSM) in Minneapolis.
