Grant Morrison, M.D., CAQ

Board-certified family medicine physician Grant Morrison earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Wash., in 1993, and completed his residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn., in 1996. Following, he completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center. Since that time he has earned a Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Sports Medicine from the American Board of Family Practice.

Dr. Morrison sees patients at Fairview Maple Grove Medical Center in Maple Grove. Actively involved locally in sports medicine, he provides medical coverage for the Twin Cities and Grandmas marathons, the FANS 24-hour Run, the U.S.A. Soccer Cup and Minnesota State High School League tournaments. He is team physician for Twin Cities Northern Lights Junior Hockey and Jefferson and Kennedy high schools in Bloomington.

He serves as teaching faculty for primary care physicians seeking advanced sports medicine training through the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center. He was named ‘Top Doctor’ by Mpls/St. Paul magazine in 2004 and 2007, and again in 2008. The annual survey randomly samples licensed and practicing Minnesota physicians about who they consider to be the best in the industry.
